I had a recipe for lasagne for 6 peoples. i use the serving sizer app to upsize to 35 peoples .You put in your original recipe and you choose the amount of people that you want, then add your original ingredients and voila it changed the recipe ingredients to the amount of people. Will use this app many more times

This is a neat ap for favorite recipies that you might make for company; it makes it much easier to size the portions, and elimiates conversion mistakes. (If it saves you from doing that wrong one time its probably more than paid for itself already!) Useful, easy to use, intuitive, attractive UI; love the ingredient list.

Rating it only 4 because it still uses plain conversions, as in mass to mass and volume to volume. The real value would be grams to cups, for instance. Otherwise its a pretty nice app. Editing a recipe is a bit confusing, I wanted to add ingredients but always ended up editing directions instead.

While preparing dishes in the kitchen I have my iPhone in one hand and a teaspoon in the other. Multipling portions is a breeze now and it makes shopping and cooking more fun! Without hesitation, I recomend this app.

This app delivers on its promises. What I didnt stop to think about before purchasing it was that the promises werent worth making. By the time youve finished typing in the recipe name, original ingredients and quantities you have lost interest in cooking and sent out for pizza. It takes that long! If the ingredient isnt in the database you cant even enter it. There is just no quick way to use it. It doesnt take an app to figure out that if the recipe calls for 3/4 cup of milk and you are doubling it, you need 1 1/2 cups of milk. Unless you have a lot of time and patience, reconsider purchasing this app.

I live alone, love to cook and I dont need to make enough for 8 people. This saved me from wasting so much food!

Very good if you are on weight watchers

Have to enter an entire recipe in order to convert. Not practical when sometimes all you want is a quick conversion.

I have fun using the program, it does take a while to get the recepie in but I think it helps me learn it. I do wish it had an option to add a pinch. Other than that it is really nice. Thank you for taking the time to create it and God bless you! :-)

Ive been looking for a product that can translate entire recipes. This is it! Perfect!

From what I read in some of the reviews, apparently the name of the app is a bit deceiving. But it was actually just what I was looking for. I wanted an app that I could put my own recipes in and change the serving sizes without a hassle. Now, if theyd let me add my own pictures, itd be perfect! I know it takes some time to enter long recipes, but its on an iPhone so what do you expect? Maybe one day the developers can make a web connection thru wifi where we can enter recipes by copy/paste on the web and it show up on the device. But for now, I just want to be able to add pictures from my library.

Very nice app. The upgrade to pro adds some nice features. Definitely worth it. If you only need to convert a single measurement, check out the regular version. Excellent database of ingrediants and very easy to enter data.

Im not very good with numbers. I use this app all day everyday. It has made my life so much easier at culinary school, my line-cook job, and studying at home. The only thing I would add is a download option, where I could take recipes that have already been typed up on the computer and load them on my iPod via wifi. That way I wouldnt have to type directions in using the tiny iPod keyboard. Other then that, I highly recommend this to the cook who has to work with new recipes everyday.

note: If you wish to convert a recipe in weight rather than liquid measurement youll need to use the app "kitchen pro" for now to do the math as this one cant yet add up scale measurements in weight, such as 0,7 oz,,,But its great for fluid ounces measurement. I dont understand why, if I have the exact measuring size and weight of an item like canned diced tomatoes, it cant convert the recipe ingredient. If the item isnt in the index, such as this common one, (why isnt it??)even if you know the can is 10.7oz you cant do the recipe at all as you may only choose from their list with few ingredients or it wont even let you put in the weight with no name or a name (note I later discovered you can type in a name but it cant multiply it if you do and the can size isnt their exact weight you can choose from) Worse, for those converting using weight, it isnt accurate. I cant put in 1.2 oz paprika or 0.7 oz paprika. I can just choose fractions like 1/4 1/2 etc. In large scale cooking and all professional baking and food manufacturing we use weight in decimals as thats how a digital scale measures... It cant be done on here but darn Id love it if that was the only thing they changed. This app has the potential to be PHENOMENAL and there are no other websites or apps that convert as well (changing to cups rather than saying 20 teaspoons) but I cant use it yet because I use weights and the accuracy isnt there yet since I cant use a decimal point as there isnt one Update: they respond promptly to emails and said theyd look into it! Yay and good service!

great app! Handles my recipes beautifully.

Love this App. Works well except with eggs. Half of five eggs is not 2 1/2 cups of eggs. But you knew that. Definitely worth buying!
